Simultaneous Preparation of Two Optical Cat States Based on a Nondegenerate Optical Parametric Amplifier

The cat state, known as the superposition of coherent states, has broad applications in quantum computation and metrology. Increasing number optical states is crucial to implement complex information tasks based on them. Here, two are prepared simultaneously a nondegenerate parametric amplifier. By subtracting one photon from each squeezed vacuum odd with orthogonal direction phase space simultaneously, which have similar fidelity 60% amplitude 1.2. Compared traditional method generate degenerate amplifiers, only amplifier applied this experiment, saves half resources nonlinear cavities. presented results make step toward preparing four-component potential fault-tolerant computation.
